Cantos Del Pueblo belongs to the best music groups that offer South American music in Europe. The repertoire comprises own composition and traditional Latin America melodies. Its interpretations reflect the South America’s soul. Until now, the group published 5 albums.
We, Cantos del Pueblo, remember very gladly the summer season 2006, in which we played regularly on the LGS in Bad Wildungen (Hessen). Our music was received with open hearts. From entrance to entrance, we won more and more "fans" and friends. The interest of our new friends led in addition that many of them came daily after the end of our official program and we formed a "bonus hour". Your enthusiasm in the active listening (with sing, dance ...) inspired us to new compositions. We promised our friends to receive this. We are happy to dedicate this new CD especially to all friends in Bad Wildungen and the listeners of our "bonuses hour".
The music of Cantos del Pueblo to the film of Klaus Bednarz. "At the end of the world", a trip through the Land of fire (Tierra del Fuego) and Patagonien. "Pictures and music awake memories and longing, it thus become acquainted with the present of the country." (Klaus Bednarz)
In 2003, Mr. Bednarz experienced the group in one live show and he was very impressed by its music. Therefore, he got in touch with Cantos del Pueblo again in the summer 2004. This time, he wanted to speak about a possibility of a musical collaboration for the film At the end of the world. - Already in our first meeting he addressed us the film project and we noticed how respectful Mr. Bednarz was with foreign cultures. Since the beginning, the collaboration with him was very harmonious. We were very happy to be able to introduce the music on a CD.
CD Sentimientos
The CD "Sentimientos" radiates harmony, warmth and feelings, an audio pleasure, which is meditative, but still has a good variety. Cantos del Pueblo tried through its inspiration to reach a musical portrait of life.
"A portrait of feelings and thought". For Cantos del Pueblo, feelings and thoughts are elements that every person has and that we need them in our lives. Cantos Del Pueblo says: "We want to reach the soul of the persons with our music, want to address its feelings (Sentimientos). Music is an universal language. We would like to positively influence the people with this language.
Cantos del Pueblo plays traditional songs and own compositions with instruments of the Andes People. Therefore, it touches deep layers of our soul what releases various different feelings. With "Horizontes", Canto del Pueblo mediates the joy of life, but also the sorrow of the South American people. The CD tells something about the life of the group Cantos del Pueblo, the life between two worlds, between two continents and horizons, between Europe and South America. Independent where one person is, he or she will always miss something, but fortunately , there is family and good friends around us, that helps us to cope with the homesickness and gives us courage and strength to deal with the difficulties that comes on our ways.
Between dream and hope bloom the songs, about people, nature and life. The songs of places which horizons unite continents through the walkers (Los Caminantes) ways. Its melodies try to signalize the message of life out of the roots of nature and people’s feelings.
In 1987, Cantos del Pueblo (song of the people) was established Lima, Peru and it is since then well known in many parts of South America. In 1991, the group won the well known TV price "Taki" with its composition "Cumbres". Also its song "El Llanto de la Paloma" became the song of the year in Peru.
